Coffee Brake Blend (aka Baron’s Blend) This blend of Central American, Indonesian, and African coffees is a hearty, full bodied brew, with enough acidity to give it a lively snap and make it our signature favorite. Also available in decaf. Espresso Blend This blend of several gourmet coffees provides a smooth espresso with a slight acidity and a beautiful crème that, as The Baron puts it, “pours like butter”. Also available in decaf.
French Roast A fine African coffee with a medium body and acidity, dark roasted to develop the natural spicy flavors and sugar to their fullest. Great with dessert!
Zambia With typical good east African character, this coffee has muted acidity, excellent body, nice floral aroma and citrus overtones.
Anniversary Blend The Baron created this blend of fine Indonesian coffees in 1995 to celebrate a decade of roasting at the Coffee Brake. This full bodied blend has a rich earthy flavor with a hint of bittersweet chocolate.
Guatemala The Baron’s personal favorite. Nutty flavor with chocolate undercurrents, this coffee has lively acidity yet produces an extremely smooth brew.
Sunset Blend One of the Baron’s most popular blends, it combines our finest African and Indonesian coffees to produce a full-bodied robust cup of coffee perfect for Sunday Brunch or after dinner. Java Organic Taman Dadar A clean cup for an Indonesian, a rich full-bodied coffee, it tries to shun the earthy flavors but captures a hint of syrupy chocolate.
Tanzania Hope Project Peaberry This popular small bean roasted on the lighter side produces a well-balanced aggressively flavorful brew with full body, robust acidity, deep overtones of berry & wine and a pleasantly light sweetness.
Sumatra Mandheling This Extremely full-bodied and deeply complex, has very low acidity, deep earthy tones, and a lingering sweet finish. Cup flavors are relatively consistent regardless of roast level.
Organically Grown Mexico Pluma Oaxaca This fine Mexican organic coffee is heavy in body, mild in acidity, and noted for its deep caramel flavor. It is best experienced roasted to at least a medium level. It makes a great cup!
Organically Grown Sumatra Mandheling This rich earthy coffee produces an almost syrupy concentrated full bodied brew with low acidity and a dried fruit sweetness.
Organically Grown Guatemala This coffee is flavorful, with bright acidity and a smooth finish. It also has a distinctive spicy aroma. New Blend A versatile blend of the three organically grown coffees listed above that yields an excellent cup of Espresso and is also great as a straight coffee brew. We use New Blend as our Espresso on Sundays.
Sunrise Blend Cathy’s first blend created by combining two of her favorite Latin American Coffee’s with the finest Indonesia has to offer. A robust yet balanced cup, full bodied with a hint of nuttiness and a very smooth finish. It has quickly become one of our best sellers.
