5/01/10: In addition to the yummy pastries from Wild Rune Bakery, we will be serving Voodoo Doughnuts starting on May 12th. Come in and tell us about your favorites! We can special order and also cater your events!
12/10/09: Our new POS system from Selby Soft is now live! Come experience the new punch-card free points system to earn free drinks, coffee beans or other merchandise!
11/14/09: Come see us at the World Forest Center the weekend of December 5th. We will be the featured Roaster that weekend at the Coffee: World in Your Cup exposition.
10/28/09: Come see our expanded staff. Thanks to our fabulous customers, business has been very good, and we have hired four more experienced Barista's! A special welcome aboard to: Shona, Jessica, Liz and Koby!
9/8/09: It's Coffee Fest time again! Cathy and Chuck will be heading up to Seattle the weekend of September 25th to learn about new and exciting products and services. We will update the news page with some of the interesting things we see/learn.
9/01/09: Chuck sat around outside the shop one Sunday and counted 10 customers that tried to come to the shop between the hours of 2-3pm. So guess what, we are now open until 3pm on Sundays!!
5/5/09: Mother's Day weekend marks the start of the Farmers Market season. As you may know, the Beaverton market is very popular and it takes several seasons for a vendor to get a regular reserved booth space. This is our second season at the market, and we have not yet been guaranteed space which means we could miss a week here or there and they may also move us around. We hope that won't dissuade you from coming out to see us at the market. You can always check our website for information on where our booth will be or stop at the Market Information Booth for directions. We do have a guaranteed space at the Orenco Market every Sunday and we encourage you to check out this fun little market which also boasts booths that sell unique gifts and hand crafted items of all varieties. Again, watch our website for updates and special offers and discounts for Coffee Brake Community Members.

8/18/08: Introducing KICK AX COFFEE! Coffee Brake is the home of Kick Ax Coffee and we invented this unique brand to celebrate Oregon's Forestry and Logging heritage as well as the great love we have for our beautiful state. There's a lot more to the Kick Ax Coffee story and Cathy is currently working on writing it all out so we can post the interesting tale soon.
There are currently two blends of Kick Ax Coffee: Old Growth Blend and Axpresso Blend. We have taken the fun coffee labels and put them on T-shirts. Available in men's and ladies styles, sizes XS to 6XL! The shirts sell for $14, 2XL on up sell for $16.
We have other Kick Ax Coffee blends brewing up, so watch for news of their arrival.
September is Kick Ax kick-off month at the Coffee Brake and all month long you get a free drink of your choice with the purchase of any T-shirt, or a pound of Kick Ax Coffee, or any Coffee mug.
Christmas is coming and we are currently assembling the Christmas Gift Arsenal so watch for great gift packages. What a great gift to send from Oregon: a bag of fresh roasted Kick Ax Coffee and T-shirt, mug or other gift item. We will have gift packages as low as $10 for those budget conscious shoppers and more extravagant ideas for those who want to go all out! We can wrap and ship your gifts all right here at the Coffee Brake.
8/18/08: We will be at the Beaverton Farmer's Market on Saturday Sept 6th and Saturday Sept 20th. There are only a few opportunities left this year to check out the BFM and see our cool booth. Come get some of our free great hot coffee while you stroll around the market. That's right we can't sell you a cup but we'll fill any cup you bring us to the top for free! The prices for coffee beans and grinds are slightly better at the market cuz we rounded down to avoid the hassle of change. 7/28/08: Ron "The Baron" and Andrea his longtime favorite sidekick will be at the Beaverton Farmers Market on Saturday 8/2. He will be available for photo shoots "especially with pretty gals" and autographing any Coffee Brake momentos.
6/20/08: You can now find the Original Coffee Brake at the Hillsboro Sunday Market at Orenco Station, from 10am-2pm. Come on out and see us!
6/10/08: On Father's Day, June 15th, we will be giving away an Original Coffee Brake collector's mug with every purchase while supplies last. Our other "non-clearance" merchandise will also be on sale at $2 off per item.
5/29/08: As of Saturday 5/31/08, you can find us selling coffee at the Beaverton Saturday Market. We do not have a permanent spot yet, so our location may vary. Please come and see us!
